The moment Naty Zenigata has been waiting for has come. Roughly twelve grand richer, (thanks to Alessandro Quagliaterre’s Pancake Day Megabowl,) she decided to spend some of her earnings to throw something together for the Blue Carpet event.
Before stepping out of her car for the “world” to see her on the blue carpet, she rips a tag from Ross’ discount store off a leopard print coat. College student Naty would’ve tucked said tag in the sleeve of the coat after getting good use from it.
The now, somewhat reformed Naty gets out of her car to make her way to the Bricktown Local Theatre. Her heart starts to pound as she feels all eyes are on her for what feels like minutes, even though it was really seconds. All it took was for a food truck to pull in, and the majority followed the smell of barbecue sauce and fries.
Naty turns her gaze to the path ahead of her, strutting with purpose in her wrestling boots. She felt like a million bucks considering she looked like she had just shopped at Carole Baskin’s garage sale. A young man in a shirt with T-Rex dinosaurs squaring off walks up to her with his phone in front of him. He squints at the screen before addressing her.
“Miss Zenigata! I’m Garrett, also known as ‘Cold Graps’ on YouTube. Do you have a few minutes for a quick interview? I would love to feature you on my channel!”
While this wasn’t a network television production, it was still exposure for Naty. Thanks to the internet and the wrestling fans’ need for unlimited wrestling content, they thrived on finding the next best thing since “Jersey” Jim Luzatto!
“Thank you for your initiative and consideration. You may call me Naty,” she says, smiling.
“There is talk online that you are somewhat of an enigma. No one can seem to locate footage of your past wrestling endeavors overseas. What gives?”
“Less talk-y, and more watch...y, Garrett! What if I told you that I was once part of something so special that spectators had forgotten to record the experience?”
No response from Garrett. He clears his throat before moving on to the next question. “Um, right. I can’t begin to imagine what’s going through your mind right now. You are set to face 'Jersey' Jim Luzatto for the Heavyweight Championship! Was this something you would’ve seen coming in your American debut at CARMAGEDDON?”
“There was no other option. Even though I was bested at my debut, I needed to keep pushing forward. Brushing off the animosity no matter how tempting it was to retaliate. Now I have ‘Jersey’ Jim to look forward to. A man who has done it all, seen it all, and continues to put a beating on his opponents. He is doing the dirty work for all irresponsible fathers who have failed to discipline their children. It takes more than an ordinary person to defeat Ben Everest, and upset the younger talents that want him to retire. If he wasn’t a threat, he would not be receiving the heat that he gets today. I know that I am in deep shit.”
She looks down for a moment, brushing a few locks of hair away from her face.
“AND I CAN COME OUT OF IT! ALLLIIIIIIIVVVEEE!” With her right index finger raised, she looks directly at the camera. “You listen here, Jim: I do not wish to retire you for the fear of never having opportunities like this one again. Understand that I am present and ready to upset my family in Japan, because they love you so much! Well, you know what? Their love’s not going to pay my bills! Tighten your waist trainer, kiss those pythons for good luck, and OFF WE GOOOOOO!”
Somehow Naty’s managed to hype herself up, which is a first for those in attendance. Maybe it was nerves or maybe she was inspired by her own opponent.
“Folks, you have heard it from Naty Zenigata herself. Live from the Blue Carpet, this is Garrett from ‘Cold Graps’ signing off!”
From behind the enthused Naty, fans stare in awe as she opens her coat wide for Garrett to get an eyeful of what’s underneath the heavy layer. She turns around, facing the fans to reveal a bikini t-shirt (with the airbrushed boobs) that someone’s drunk aunt purchased at a Daytona Beach gift shop. She spins her heels to keep it moving, staying on schedule.
